Bio

Cain Paisley is a UK-based guitarist with a love of blues, funk and rock, whose sound draws inspiration from guitar giants such as Van Halen, Prince, Jeff Beck, Eddie Hazel, Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Guy, Larry LaLonde, Frank Zappa, Freddie King, Justin Hawkins, Paul Gilbert and Joe Pass.

His career so far has seen him playing in a whole host of styles and settings which have all come together to help him forge his own style. From metal riffing with Apes, Pigs & Spacemen and zydeco grooves with British cajun luminary Lil Jim, to session work with function bands and with more intimate acoustic performances, he has honed his craft and learned how to both front and take the role of a sideman.

Primarily self-taught and a relatively late starter on the instrument Cain has dedicated himself to channeling the playing of his influences into something fresh for his original music. His songwriting owes as much to classic funk and soul as it does blues standards and rock anthems, with the aim to make people move rather than act purely as a vehicle for fretboard antics.

Currently performing with a 4-piece band, Cain also plays solo and duo events as well as guest spots and dep work with other artists.
